How to use household items as an exercise equipment
As promised, I’ll be trying to catch up and will do my best to post regularly. I hope I could do this from now on. Sharing some fitness related posts here in my blog probably once or twice a week.
Previously, I shared about the benefits of running. Some says, they cannot add it up to their routine since they are busy taking care of the kids.
Staying at home, taking care of the kid/s is indeed a tough job. I am sure schedule is really tight but we must not forget to exercise.
You don’t necessarily need to leave the house or buy any expensive equipment. You can easily use many household items in order to get a quick workout whenever you have a spare time.
Here are some household items that are readily available in every home.
Walk or run up and down the stairs for as long as you can. It will definitely make you sweat.
Chair, Bench or Couch
You can use a sturdy chair or couch to perform several push-ups, squats or make side planks.
Use the wall to tone your butt, legs, and abs with wall sits, elevated push-ups or as your support for a series of hand stands.
If you are having a hard time doing squats from your knees or feet, wall could be a good help to assist you.
One of the best workouts you can get is by using a basic hand towel. With this, you can work on your core, arms, shoulders and legs.
Water Bottles and Milk Jugs
You can substitute water bottles and milk jugs instead of using dumbbells. Start first by using the lighter bottles then change it with a heavier one afterwards.
Any additional suggestion that we can use for a quick workout? Share it in the comments section.
