5 Fun Ways to Flavor Boost Your Water
When you're thirsty, there's really nothing as refreshing as an ice cold glass of H20. But what about when you're not and know you still have like, 6 of your 8 daily glasses to go?! Don't panic, because there are so many awesome ways to flavor boost your water. Reaching your daily goal will be a breeze, and all that yummy water will make you ready to tackle even your hardest workouts.
Tomatoes are fruit, so I promise this isn't as weird as it sounds! Pairing tomato with basil is the epitome of summer flavors, and gives you the most refreshing, slightly savory boost with every sip. Maybe have it with a caprese salad if you want to go all out!
OK, this combo is #bliss to the max. Soak a sliced. unpeeled orange with a handful of strawberries overnight in a gallon of water, strain out the fruit the next day, and don't be surprised if you drink it all up! Bonus points for adding orange to get all that sweet vitamin C.
This one is a true show stopper and perfect for company. Cut watermelon into wedged slices, and place in a pitcher. Add 8-10 sprigs of rosemary, and serve immediately. Each sip is the perfect balance between sweet and savory, and you'll sneak in some lycopene!
If you're puzzled by this one, I am not talking about what goes in between a s'more! Marshmallow root is a super anti-inflammatory little root that turns your water into a slightly thicker substance when added to a water bottle. Why is this good? On top of a sweet, earthy taste, viscous marshmallow water lubricates your system better than plain 'ol H20!
For an easy splash of flavor in your cup of water, peel a slice of cantaloupe and toss it on in. The subtle sweetness it will add is so, so good. And if you're feeling fancy, add in just a little bit of freshly sliced fennel for some low key licorice vibes.
